Common Polk County repair calls
Leaks at corners and end caps: by far the most common. Sealant cracks under UV after 5–10 years and water finds the joint. We strip the failed sealant, prep with isopropyl alcohol, and re-seal with a polyurethane gutter sealant that cures flexible.
Sagging mid-runs: usually a hanger that pulled out of soft fascia, or hangers spaced too far apart on the original install. We re-pitch the affected section, replace the failed hangers with hidden hangers driven into the rafter tail, and tighten spacing if needed.
Downspout separation: straps fail, the elbow at the top pulls loose, or the downspout backs out of the gutter outlet. Quick fix once we get there: new strap, new screws, sealant on the outlet.
Standing water in the trough: almost always a slope problem. Either the original install had no fall, or settling has flattened a run. We re-pitch with a level until water moves toward the downspout the way it should.
Holes from impact: fallen branch, ladder strike, hail. Patch is sometimes possible on a small puncture; full section replacement on a larger one. We carry coil in standard colors so a same-day patch is often cosmetically clean.
